French for NZ Opera Singers School
Uzés, South of France, 2007
Four young NZ opera singers were supported in a week’s coaching with foremost French mezzo-soprana, Marie-Ange Todorovitch; and an intensive French language course. The four, all based in London, finished their week’s coaching with a concert at Salon Jean Racine, where they performed to a capacity audience of over 200. Organiser of the French School for Opera Singers, Patricia Hurley, is hopeful that the school will become a centre for NZ performers to study and perform regularly.
