Children of the 5 continents
In a disadvantaged area of Marseilles, the headmistress of the Bellevue primary school travelled around the world with her pupils to meet indigenous tribes. After the Sioux (USA), the Quetchuas (Peru), the Xhosas (South Africa) and the Lapps (Finland), she took a group to New-Zealand in 2001, where they meet Maoris, New Zealand's tangata whenua.
This project, still living in 2007, gave the opportunity to disadvantaged pupils to feel good at school and to learn to love reading and writing. For this reason, the NZFFF is proud of its contribution.
