Mr
Richard Woods
NEW ZEALAND CHAIRPERSON
Richard Woods was appointed New
Zealand Chair of the New
Zealand-France Friendship
Fund on 1 February 2008.
Mr Woods was a career diplomat
who served as New Zealand's
Ambassador to France from
1995-1999. He then held the
position of CEO of the New
Zealand Security Intelligence
Service for seven years.
Other members of the New Zealand
Board are Richard Baker, a former
lawyer, banker and company director,
who is currently a Policy Director
at the Institute of Directors
in New Zealand (Inc); and Jenny
Bornholdt, a poet, writer and
editor, and recipient of the
Katherine Mansfield fellowship
at Menton in 2002.

Mr Bernard Lapasset
FRENCH
CHAIRPERSON
Bernard Lapasset was
appointed French Chair of the
New Zealand/France Friendship
Fund in 1993, in succession
to Commander Jacques Ives Cousteau.
Bernard Lapasset is the Chairman
of the International Rugby
Board (IRB) and Vice-President
of the French Olympic committee.
Other members of the
French Board are
Madame Marie-Jeanne
Poux and Mr Jean-Louis
Barthes.
The representative from New Caledonia is
Mr. Cameron Diver, Head of Office of Regional
Cooperation and External Relations.
