Mr Richard Woods
NEW ZEALAND CHAIR
Richard Woods was appointed New Zealand Chair of the New Zealand/France Friendship Fund on 1 February 2008. Mr Woods was a career diplomat who served as New Zealand's Ambassador to France from 1995 to 1999. He was CEO of the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service 1999-2006 and is now Chair of the New Zealand Environmental Risk Management Authority.
Other members of the New Zealand Board are Richard Long and Richard Baker. Richard Long was editor of Wellington's The Dominion newspaper for 10 years. He is a life member of the Parliamentary Press Gallery. He was formerly the editors' representative on the Newspaper Publishers Association board and was the inaugural chairman of the editors' press freedom committee. Richard Baker is a farmer and former lawyer, banker and Director of Policy at the Institute of Directors. He is a graduate of L'Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires in France.

FRENCH CHAIR
M. Daniel Lequertier, Ambassador of France, was appointed French Chairman of the Friendship Fund in 2009, in succession to Bernard Lapasset (chairman of the International Rugby Board ) and to Commander Jacques-Yves Cousteau.
